It’s official. Niki And The Dove have gone and grabbed Fever Ray‘s crown off her head. Let’s face it – Fever Ray does not deserve to wear that crown anymore. Move over bitch, Niki And The Dove are claiming your throne and you can’t stop them.

DJ, Ease My Mind - the track that started it all  - now has a proper music video. Perfect timing too, since making it onto the BBC’s Sound of 2012 list, a lot more people are taking notice of this amazing band. Expect big things from them next year.

Watch the video below. The track blows my mind every time I hear it. Epic.

How much do you know about Charlie XCX?

Not much, but I like what I hear. Coming on like a cross between an upbeat Niki & The Dove and a Goth Marina & The Diamonds, this girl has is a multi-instrumentalist from Hertfordshire who writes and performs her own music who was discovered on myspace at the age of 15. Now 18, she’s getting ready to unleash her music onto the world, thanks to a proper recording contract and a management team behind her.

Stop what you’re doing right now and take a few minutes to watch the brand new video for The Drummer by Niki & The Dove. The bastard offspring of Kate Bush, this band has been blowing me away with each track they’ve released, and this is no exception. Punchier and more upbeat than their previous efforts, it’s also one of my favorite tracks of theirs.

The video is also pretty cool.

How much do you know about Niki & the dove?

Hopefully a fair bit. I love Niki & The Dove. Their music is filed in the same drawer where I keep Fever Ray, Bat For Lashes, Glasser, Zola Jesus, Cocteau Twins, Siobhan Donaghy, iamamiwhoami & Kate Bush.
